History and vineyards were often complementary in France; So it is in the Vendée.

The First lands hold by abbayes dates from the IXth century. After a flourishing period only remained from the four areas of stronghold, Brem, Mareuil, Vix and Pissotte region.
In the Middle Ages, Rabelais sang the virtues of the Vendean wines and Richelieu (Minister of king Louis XIII) contributed to their fame.
The vineyards indeed has the name of lands of Cardinal Richelieu.
They are appellation of Origin V.D.Q.S. White, red and rosé are very personalized, light-drinking, fresh in any season. Tasting at our place where the warm greeting competes with the cool of the cellar, is an experience not to be missed !!

In Pissotte Chenin, Melon and Chardonnay give the light white wines a discreet Green Apple flavour. Gamay, black Pinot and Cabernet give the Rosé the colour of raspberry and a lively taste (wild strawberries) and blackcurrant aromas to the Reds. The wines are generous, balanced, very round and smooth to the palate.
